My first custom build look ok

Would like you opinions on my first build

Intel Core 2 Duo E6600
EVGA nForce 680 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS
OCZ 2048MB DDR2 PC7200 Special Opps [SOE] Edition Dual Channel Kit
Hitachi Deskstar T7K500 320GB 7200RPM SATA II 16MB
500W Tagan TG500W-U25 Power Supply
Thermaltake Soprano VB1000SWS Silver Window

will be using the asus 22" monitor with it does anybody have anything sim what can i expect from it performance wise.

If i was to add another EVGA GeForce 8800 GTS later on would the tagan psu give enough power for them both to run ok.

if you really were going to add another gts then nope that psu wont be enogh dual gts is recomended to have 650watts and up really.

Plus I’d check the GTS will fit into that case. It probably will but its better to be safe than sorry. My GTS *only just* fit into my coolermaster case.

I *think* the Soprano has very similar dimensions to my Tsunami, which can only just fit a 7900GTO in (blocking 2 of 5 hard drive bays). So I'd be tempted to say it won't fit in.

As for the PSU, if you're looking to add a further card in the future, you want to be looking at 600W+, the Corsair probably being the best around at the moment

take a look at this link looks like the GTS will fit into the Soprano but not the GTX. But if you think you gona add another GTS in the future i'd say get a full tower case. I doubt i'd fit another GTS into my case

Thanks for that link, good reference. The GTS looks about the same length as my GTO in the picture they give, probably taking out the middle hard drive slots.

the corsair s good psu how ever isnt enough for dual 8800 gts
