Hey everyone,

I have been waiting a long time to build a custom system I have always settled for a standard pc off the shelf and it's the same old rubbish inside, so I have done some research and looking to invest in a pc that I would like to own.

This is what i am looking to buy in 2-3 weeks and would like people thoughts, opinions and advice.

NZXT Phantom 820 Enthusiast Ultra Tower Case - White

Asus Rampage V Extreme

Intel Core i7 5930K

Corsair Dominator Platinum 32GB (4x8GB) DDR4 3000MHz Quad Channel

Asus GeForce GTX 1080 DirectCU III Strix Gaming Aura RGB 8192MB GDDR5X PCI-Express Graphics Card

Corsair HX750i 750W '80 Plus Platinum

NZXT Sentry LX LCD Fan Controller

NZXT KRAKEN X61 280mm AIO Water Cooling Unit

LG Internal Blu-ray Writer x16 Internal SATA BD-R BD-RE 3D Ready

Will be using Windows 10 and going to buy an extra 140mm fan to case

Any advice on changes would be very appreciated

Will keep you updated throughout

So getting the corsair hx850i would be a better option for over clocking? Also what fans would you recommend for the HDD and bottom?

Thanks for the advise on the hue didn't know that.

Go with the i7 5820K or i7 6800K. You won't need a 40 lane cpu for that setup.

Would I not need more lanes if I can convince my partner to allow me to have another 1080?

Also what are the benefits/disadvantages to having 2 x 8gb or 4 x 4gb?

Do you really need the BD writer? Might an external USB 3 version be preferable?

Trying to keep my desk space clear and was recommended this drive by a friend
