Hey, Im in need of a new computer and opted for a desktop since iv only previously owned laptops. Currently have a acer apsire 6920g which is slow and aggravating.

Iv opted for sandy bridge build, I have no intention to currently overclock but will in the future if i feel i need to (currently have no idea how to anyway). I will order a GPU in a month or two so i can get a better card, ie HD6950.

This is what iv come up with, if i could change anything for more suitable things please let me know (in particular the PSU). The build would be used for general activites like browsing ect...but will be running games in the future when i get a GPU.

Gpu is just to boot ect as 95thrifles suggested, new gpu will be added in month or two.

Thanks.

Sorry if your sick of seeing these threads :D

you need some sort of gfx card in order to output video and boot, so pick up a cheap one for now
This would do
If youre at teh limit of what you can spend you can drop the cooler, just use the stock for now then buy the cooler when you come to OC

Yup that ram will probably be too tall. Its something I didn't think about when building my machine, and as such have lost out on the future possibility of adding extra sticks. Follow the advice from stulid.

Although I have the PSU in your spec and it preforms admirably, not too sure on the reasoning of the change

good, and even when you get your 6950 card, keep that cheap one in a desk draw, you never know when you might need it.
