My first few DSLR shots

After an earlier thread, I ended up with a Canon 450D. I have had fun (and a lot of frustration!) in the last three week getting used to taking photos. I must say it's a lot harder than I thought it was going to be.

I know these aren't jaw dropping, but these are a selection of my first photos. I would welcome criticism, and some idea's on what I could do better. Just remember, I'm very new to this !

Well the first thing that I notice is that you clearly have a good eye for composition and an interesting subject. For me these are two incredibly important things! So many times I see 'new users' post pictures which to me are nothing more than snapshots. With these, I can tell you have put some through into framing the shot, which is really nice to see.

Keep up the good work mate, take as many pictures as you can.
