Hi all,

New to this forum! Also new to building PC's.

So I have done a bit of research online and have found this to be quite a powerful build for the price. Can anyone share some insight into whether this build will be any good? If not please slate it! This is all new to me so any advise is brilliant.

Processor - AMD Ryzen 5 3600 Gen 6 Core 3.6GHz

Motherboard - MSI AMD Ryzen B450 TOMAHAWK MAX AM4

Memory - G.SKILL Ripjaws V Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4 3600

SSD (for loading operator system and 1 or 2 games??) - Western Digita Blue SN550 NVMe M.2 2280 500GB SSD

HardDrive (Planned to use this for a number of games) - Seagate BarraCuda ST200DM0008 2TB 7200RPM

Graphics Card - MSI Radeon RX 5700 Directx 12 RX 5700 8GB

Power Supply - Corsair CV Series 550W 80+ Bronze Power Supply

Thanks all! looking forward to seeing everyone's opinion.

Hello,
The spec you have chosen is good except for one part.

The power supply - its OK'ish but not for that spec PC. The Power supply is the most important piece of hardware in your PC, it can determine how reliable and stable it will be, particularly when gaming. It's not partially or fully modular either which will leave you with unused leads to 'cable manage' it can be a pain to do that.
Rule of thumb in this forum is 'never skimp on your power supply' a good one will last as you change hardware over the years.

This is the cheapest power supply OCUK have in stock that I would buy:

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £97.49 (includes shipping: £10.50)

10 year Warranty.

Nice spec! Definitely agree with Grimley about the PSU. What case are you using out of interest? Also are you sticking with the stock CPU cooler (nothing wrong with the stock wraith coolers btw)?

I'm not to sure about the case.. I was thinking of using my very old gaming computer case for nostaglia purposes but I am open to the idea of purchasing a new case!

Thanks for the info regarding power supply
