Upgraded from Antec PlusView 1000AMG and I have to say that I'm more than impressed.

I have no cable management at all but because it has two separate chambers it's just so much tidier and spacious than my old case.

Have already ordered a Scythe Kama bay cooler and some quieter 120MMs :D

I love this case and going to stick with it for a long time. Never understood what the fuss was all about with Lian Li cases but now I'm hooked, I like it understated look :)

should have got the silver one to match your drives.

and as for cable management, it doesn't really matter aslong as its not affecting airflow or rattling about, because you can't see it.

its good - wouldnt bother with the kama bay
its not that fantastic
just upgrade the existing case fans

Wrong! black is far better IMHO. just buy a couple of stealths for it :)

yeah but I asumed he already have the karma bay, of which you can't get stealths for, so it would make sense just to get the silver case, which imo doesn't look any worse.

True, I like black cases, silver is a bit boring for me but tbh it doesn't look that bad at all in real life. It's kinda go well with the silver Lian Li branding, reset and power buttons don't you think :p
It doesn't bug me at all but when it does I would just simply get a new drive and a fan controller :D Black all the way!

Remove that internal stamped guard of back exhaust fan.
Not much danger of cables going to blades and especially no sense to artificially lower airflow and make more noise. (impedance directly next to fan causes both)

Also for additional cooling this would make much more sense than adding fan to front especially with power hog graphic card which doesn't exhaust heat directly out of case. (what I asked it should become available during fall)

How do they work? How are you meant to plug your monitor in?

The guard of course will be gone when my new fans arrive! I still think it badly needs a front fan to maintain a more balanced airflow though. My GFX card is not really that hot, the lower part is actually cooler than the upper. Not sure if you actually own this particular case (PC-V1010B) but it definitely needs a front bay fan!

Why are Lian Li so rubbish at designing cases where airflow from fans are so restricted? Look at the HD cage area and Lian Li HD 5.25" module.

I had to buy a Karma bay for my V1100 Plus II as my GFX card was getting toasty! Ill warn you, it isnt a perfect fit, you end up with 3mm gaps to the left and right of the bay... heres what mine ended up like...

If you look just below the Optical drive you can see the Karma bay... it helped but its got a few disadvantages. Im already looking for a nicer alternative!

1# As i mentioned, its no where near a perfect fit
2# You have to remove the whole drive bay to clean the filter!
3# The finish does not match the Aluminium finish of Lian Li cases.

Even With the Karma, My GFX card get warm...

stock GPU heatsinks arent that great, they seem to just push the air where the vents are. They dont have any suction. Best thing would be to get something aftermarket. Zalman to some great GPU heatsinks. I managed to get my GPU temp down to 22C

Thanks for the heads up, mine hasn't arrived yet will let you know how I get on. My card 8800GTX is not too hot, with all case fans at low, idle temp is about 48 but I use Accelero Xtreme 8800 so that helps a lot.

Imbalanced airflow is physically impossible... If it were case would implode/swell up because of pressure difference building up. (could be fun to watch)

For keeping airflow as close to possible maximum as possible fans in series/both ends of "pipe" of course work but it doesn't rise maximum possible airflow unlike fans in parallel. (two fans in series: maximum possible airflow doesn't rise, two fans in parallel: maximum possible airflow doubles)
And replacing graphic card's cooler with one which doesn't exhaust heat out of case leaves lot more heat inside case which naturally heats up components above that heat source so getting that accessory cooler would help in keeping CPU and motherboard cool. In that situation front intake fan's RPM could be kept much more easily at level where it wouldn't make extra noise.

What else can you expect from inverted layout case whose exhaust fan isn't near top?
In mavity field convective cooling moves heat upwards so of course those cases get hot on top unless you make exhaust there. (what I would do immediately with that kind case)
Use of that wetware between ears is allowed, even recommendable.

Keeping PC in fridge? Depending on card I would expect it to be anywhere between 10-20C above ambient even with bigger cooler because graphic cards consume always much more than CPUs during idling.
