is pgr3, and OMG I WON A RACE LOL!

Anyway, how do you guys go about giving rep?
for instance, some guy I overtook nerfed me straight after, intentionally into the next corner making me spin, and winning the race off me.

Do i go "RAWR" and give him bad rep or just leave it? Or is rep for extreme cases of annoyingness and swearing an general unpleasentness...

People knocking into me doesn't so much matter, though I got one against me for 'unsporting behaviour' in Burnout Revenge.
Go figure.

Although it probably has little effect I only neg rep people that seriously annoy me. Actions like you describe constantly through 4 or 5 races and I'll neg rep them :)

Or if the name says Whiteroser then it's automatic :>

I got neg rep in Quake 4 for unsporting behaviour because a mate of mine was playing it and he quit the game early as we were heading out.
I did not realise he was playing a ranked game or anything, neither did he for that matter.

Ive not given it, but I have received it (bad rep that is). No idea who gave me it and what the reason was, I dont worry about it.

On the whole Ive been pleasently suprised at the type of people ive bumped into on 'Live' theres only one person Ive taken a dislike to whist playing Burnout, she had a hissy fit cos I tapped her in the rear end, causing ME to crash. She had 5 takedowns over me anyhow. To top it off she has the most irritating accent/speech and brings up this incident everytime I have the misfortune to be in her lobby.

Rep is something I never really think about tho.

Oooh Matron!

I've got bad rep for 'Unsporting behaviour'. it was probably Gord because he thinks my Saint's Row character looks like Richard from Big Brother. Spoil sport :p

No idea where it came from to be honest. I can't remember being unsporting at any time. Might have been from beating a bad loser in table Tennis or Street Fighter I suppose.

The rep thing is pointless. When I was using a bridged network conection with my pc I had loads of connection issues with PGR3 (no other games). This meant I got a fair few quit early negative reps yet my score is still 5 stars.

I didnt realise their was etiquite online. I would try and win at all costs. I hope XBox Live isnt like CS online where people say/type "camping noob" every 5 seconds.

See if you take a game like PGR and take that attitude then you can blast into a corner full pelt causing both yourself and the guy infront to end up in the wall. A) he loses any advantage he's gained by being the better driver and B) whoevers luckiest will get back racing again first so its 50/50 whether the innocent guy or the tool ends up infront. Completely ruins the game.

I'd only use rep/feedback for abuse - anything like knocking your car off the track may be unsporting but it's just a way of playing :-) if you played splitscreen with your friend, you would probably do the same thing ;)

lol i thought that was the point of burnout? lol

anyway the rep is a bit pointless imho, i dont think it has enough options. I mean there are players i may want to avoid, not because they are abusive or unsporting, just maybe i cant be bothered with their ramblings or somthing, maybe its an annoying 12 y/o american child who just bugs me lol. I wouldnt want to give them bad rep, but i would like to avoid them.

I gave a few French people bad rep once for non stop Frenchness in a PGR game. They just wouldn't stop bloody talking!
