My first new car thread!

Well after a nice little train journey into London, and then back out to Slough im now the proud owner of my 05 RS Clio 182. Have been reading up about them a lot prior to purchase and have to say it certainly lives up to expectations. The drive home was circa 90miles so had plenty of opertunity (well as far as the m4/m25/m20 allows :p) to open her up, and am now very eager to find some nice B roads to push her a little further!

Any words of advice/caution! from other owners on here? :) Only have the autotrader pics for now, will get some more at some point!

I always loved these, wouldn't mind having one its just the size issue. Will it fit golf clubs, and im 6ft 1, would i fit easily?


oh and its sexy !! :D
 
Golf clubs would possibly go in without the parcel shelf i guess, be a squeeze tho! As for size im 6ft5 and i fit fine :p

Would also like to add ive come from a Company Pug 308 to this, definatly not going to miss that!!
 
Looks brilliant. How much did it set you back if you don't mind me asking? These cars are now becoming serious bargains and still look awesome.
 
Well its a relative high miler at 77k, but the all important big service has been completed. Got it for £4700.
 
These are growing on me slowly, something to step up to maybe from my 306 HDi?

Intergra type R DC2 is also battling for that 'growing on me' spot though.

Are the engines nice and torquey?

How old are you if you dont mind me asking? Im 23 and will be taking my test this year. Ive been looking at getting a 172 / 182 as my first car but people keep putting me off the idea. I should get a 'slower', cheaper car and build my NCB up until Im 25 then get a decent car. What do they know heh :p
 
Old! 27 with 9yrs no claims, so insurance cost wasnt really a consideration :) They are grp16, still worth doing some quotes though!
 
Has anyone actually managed to light up the TC light on one of these, was trying the whole drive home from work and still havent managed it :p
