My First overclock.

Just bought myself a new rig and am about to start attempting to overclock it. I was just wondering what sort of speeds I should be aiming for? What temperatures are dangerous for the CPU, how high can I go? I'm working with an AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego cooled by a Zalman CNPS7000B. My motherboard is an Asus A8N-VM CSM Micro ATX if that makes any difference.

2.7/8 seems the average, but you may well get more, just read up on the subject and make sure your confident you know what your doing

If you get a good stepping, 2.8GHz shouldn't be a problem. Not sure how well that mobo overclocks though

Btw i got my 3700 @ 2.7ghz on stock cooling and volts.
