Hello Guys im new to this whole pc building, and am worried about if the components I am wanting too buy will fit together and I hope someone can help me. Here are the components.
Intel Core I5
Gigabyte Z68x-UD3P
Kingston HyperX Genesis Grey 8Gb
Asus Geforce GTX550ti 1024mb
Corsair Builder Series CX600W
Samsung SH-B123L BSBP

Hope to hear soon thanks :)

Hey,

All those parts will certainly be compatible with one another. How much do you have set aside for a budget and what are you hoping to do on this PC?

With that information we can adjust the components slightly and get you the best rig for the money.

Also do you need to buy a copy of windows 7 or do you already have one? Do you already have a hard drive? and a case? I would guess that the answer is no seeing as this is your first build.

Provide us with a bit more info and we can help you out :)

I am Hoping to game on this PC, and also have around £700-£800. I dont have a hard drive, windows 7 or a case. However another question I have is should I get a Mid tower or a full tower?

What Do yous think of the Krypton Z68 Bundle From Overclockers? With the Gigabyte Z68x-UD3P. And What else Would yous put with it still within My budget tho?

Is it good, and what you need. But you do pay extra for the overclock which you can definitely do yourself, with these new CPUs it's really quite straightforward.

What about a system for under £700? And would you rather I3 with 560ti or an I5 with 550Ti? Please help as a few people have been saying the I3 would eat up the I5 setup.

I think the i3 - assuming you're referring to the 2100/2120 - is still a very powerful CPU. Some modern games have not maxed out its two cores, such as BF3. In other, more CPU-stressing games such as Skyrim, it may be a very slight bottleneck, but as long as you use sensible settings you'll find that the i3 + 560ti will be a very powerful machine.

In my opinion, yes, better than a 2500k + 550ti.

For that budget you may want to invest in a SLI-ready motherboard, so you can later add another GPU if you think you need the extra power. Or maybe you'll upgrade the CPU - or both.

Hope I've helped.

I take it from the previous post the OP doesn't need a HDD...

Not sure the OP has said anywhere if he specifically wants SLI in the future but by not allowing for it I've been able to include the i5-2500K and cooler.

Struggled to find much literature on the GTX 560 TI 2GB but I did find this,

http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/graphics/2011/11/08/gainward-geforce-gtx-560-ti-2048mb-phantom/8

"However, while the extra memory yields a bit of extra performance, it's nothing to write home about."

I suspect unless the OP is playing at 1920x1200 or higher it's not going to make much difference.

SLI would have to be taken into consideration for the future, And no I wont be playing at below 1080p resolution. I dont need a Blu-ray player but it is just an option I am looking at for the future really, and Okay thanks is there anyone who knows much about the wireless card.

Gigabyte Z68XP-UD3P Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard. Is this motherboard better than the asus P8Z68-V Intel Z68 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Motherboard or are they similiar. And Can I have SLI Setup on both?
