Hello

Just purchased a PC before Xmas at the time I couldn't afford to have a GPU fitted so thought I would wait until the January Sales, when hopefully I should have enough money to purchase a Graphics Card, for now I just stuck my old Nvidia GTX640 from my old PC.
The PC I have is running with a i5-4670K not overclocked, with 8 Gbit 2400 RAM, Air cooled CPU cooling, 128 SSD and 1TB Caviar Black secondary drive with a 750 Watt Corsair Gaming Enthusiast Modular PSU and the Storm Trooper case and Asus Hero Motherboard.

Anyway I have my heart set on a Nvidia 780, price max around £400. I've been looking at the the Gainwood Phantom GLH £389 which seems pretty good and quiet, the Zotac GTX780 Amp £400 I know it's the most power hungry but is a Titan Killer when overclocked although I know some people are not a fan of this.

The Gigabyte GTX780 GHZ edition with its boost of 1071 MHz is on paper even more powerfyl than the Amp

or finally an EVGA model.

Is there much difference in terms of performance between these as even according to charts I've looked at there only seems to be 1 or 2 frames difference between the Gainwood and the Zotac, which if this is the case then maybe just getting the cheapest 780 would be good enough?

I am only looking at playing games at 1080 but obviously want to play games in Ultra settings and with a solid Frame rate.

The classy does seem to be hitting the best clocks, though that msi is incredible value. Even the lightning on two looks like a good buy. If funds werent so tight id be all over one of the msi's like a leech for some sli action.:D

Thanks I did notice there is another chilli 780 they stock as well although this is £450 I think I also read that the hof was the best air cooled 780 to overclock but maybe this isn't the case now. I was really trying to stick to four hundred pounds as a max especially as you can get the phantom for £389 unless the performance from the top end 780 cards really justifies the extra cost

I can highly reccomend the Gigabyte GTX780 GHZ... if you can find em - most places seem to be out of stock now... I wonder why heh.

£359 for a map gtx780 is a bargain and I assume still better than a standard gtx780 I will give this and the phantom some serious thought, but also hoping that come January there may be a few bargains to be had
