Hi there, I am buying a new PC soon and have decided to make it myself!
A daring step forward but I am actually looking forward to it and hope to have fun doing it.

Im not 100% sure on system compatibility so im posting here for a second opinion!

Thats the interior specs of the PC.

I was going to get a Lian-Li PC V1000 but having found out the upside down aspect of it would be a nuisance with the heatpipe on the Asus mobo I have decided to get the Antec nine hundred.

Cheers!

Also, If I intend to change the CPU and perhaps mobo in a good few months will I be forced into buying another copy of Vista as it is the OEM copy?

Looking very nice. About the OEM copy of Vista, I'm really not sure until we actually see how this pans out with Microsoft and relatively small hardware changes. TBH I would be tempted to stretch to the Retail copy of Home Premium 64, just to be safe.

The 64-bit is meant to be a lot better right?
I just wonder if its good to use as XP64 seemed to be a bit of a farce from what I have seen

Actually, I will second that. I have a modular Hiper and have had no troubles, though have heard a lot of annoyances about them lately. Grab a 520W Corsair and you're good to go.

I got a spare hiper not sure to use it in my other build this week....
You might as well, as apparently they just sometimes fail totally rather than surge etc. I have no doubts when using mine, just would not pay for one again.

I like the detachable cables to keep the case tidy, also the cable themselves look much neater, especially if im wanting a case with a window.

Any other PSUs like this?

I've used loads of Hiper type R's in PC's at work and I've not had to replace one yet in or out of warranty.
My only bugbear is that the 12v feed cable for the CPU could be a bit longer for use in the Antec P180 cases.
