Currently i'm using This

My wife had if before we moved in together so it's quite old and grimey. What's worse is I don't remember how well it worked 3-4 years ago. Do you reckon I should just get another one of them? I don't really want to spend more than £25 max if I have to? What do you guys recommend??

I would just get the whole mixed tap thing, but I'm American and I can't justify paying UK prices for taps...for some reason they are so freaking expensive here...just don't understand why?

I'm in the same position,mine is even older and falling apart. The trouble for me is that the 1930's taps are stuck fast on the bath and even a huge plumber with a monster wrench could not budge them. I've been looking for a replacement for almost a year now with no luck.
You could try screwfix.com as they have a plumbing section or plumbcenter.co. uk who have trade counters where there may be a knowledgeable person to ask. These two places may even have cheap mixer taps that you could buy
