guys, guys... guys.

£500 to spend max.

my requirements:

24" 1920x1080 (no bigger or smaller)

minimum 2 hdmi ports

VGA port / DVI port

component (not a deal breaker)

my uses:

tv / film media from PC

Xbox 360

Surfing ofcourse !

It HAS to have excellent viewing angles.
Im not interested in 3D but i spose if it comes with a top spec model i can just ignore the 3D part right ?

would i be on the right tracks looking for an IPS screen ?

i suppose i could use a HDMI adaptor with this model to expand it ?

For your uses the Dell U2410 you linked to seems to fit the bill - apart from the resolution being bigger at 1920x1200.

A £500 budget would get you into the 27in IPS panel 2560x1440 resolution screens, however if you don't want this size/resolution then the Dell U2410 is probably your best bet.

yes but as my edit pointed out i want built in speakers u see.

very very limited for space so i aint got space for seperate speakers.

Dell do a sound bar (search for "Dell AY511"), this hooks underneath the U2410 monitor and draws power from a special port on the monitor.

It's not exactly world class sound quality, but compared to the sound quality on most PC monitors with speakers it is pretty nice.
