Hi all

So tonight I've spent some time tweaking my system to try out overclocking, I thought all was good until my system black screened mid way through a moto gp race :( so now I've reset it all back to stock clocks and voltages

I got it passing stress tests at 4ghz as low as 1.225v before crashes so I decided to keep it at 1.225v ran some more tests and all were OK and temps were under 58'c...

However I then ran moto gp 20 and at around the 2nd lap my screen went black and I had to restart the PC...

Any tips or ideas why this may of happened, please feel free to give any information, maybe you know where I went wrong.

Cheers

Would probably need a spec list to make further comments that are reliable and accurate for you.

But I'd imagin from what you're describing, that either the PSU is being pushed too hard and it's only just about able to keep the system going. But it's efficiency goes down as it's being pushed with GPU and CPU at same time, and it reaches the stall point and does a black screen.

Or, the motherboard/chipset is being overworked and underpowered, in which case, potentially upping the voltage could stabilise the system again.

Or the CPU isn't getting enough juice for the clocks its running at. The only way to really tell, is through lengthy testing I'm afraid. Assuming you're OK with it, grab prime95, run the Large FFT test and see if it fails. If so, voltage or clocks need to be adjusted.

Again, all of thise is high speculation, as we don't know what system specs you're running. So some info on that would help a lot more with providing helpful and accurate info.

As said need specs
But in a nutshell that's why overclocking can be time consuming
Have had over clocks that seemed rock solid yet a certain game would crash it
Even though it was less taxing than
What it had already passed
The closer to the max it can go to usually the more time consuming it gets

Sorry guys shouldve put spec list up... heres the specs

Ryzen 2600
Msi b450 mortar max
16gb 3000mhz corsair Vengence
Radeon rx5700
Corsair tx550m PSU
480gb Kingston SSD
120gb Kingston SSD
Antec p120 case

Thanks for the help guys
