My friday night...guess the tracking number!

So in a bit of an emergency, basically I NEED a package tomorrow, otherwise im screwed. Apparently it was sent at 4pm today and extra money was paid for special delivery, guaranteed saturday delivery. Earlier in the day I asked for the tracking number and it was supplied...however it appears it was a digit short. Is there anyway to get hold of it other than praying it arrives?

My backup plan was tracking it and collecting it from whatever depot it arrives at...which is a bit messed up at the mo. So is there any rhyme of reason to these codes? Anyway i'll be able to guess it tonight with a bit of luck or something by supplying my address or whatnot?
 
What details does the tracking thing give? Cause surely you can put in all of the possible codes and find yours? (there's only 36)
 
If it is a digit short just keep guessing - likely the final digit is missing.

Only 36 tries..........

Edit: My guess is that it is the number 5.
 
Well due to the design it starts with 2 letters and ends with 2 letters so its literally a missing digit in there somewhere that shes forgotten to say, bugger :)

Anyone know how long the tracking thing takes to update?

Well then it's most likely a number. How long is the entire code? You could try every digit in each space. If it's REALLY desperate you could just ring up and ask for the number again.
 
Just wait for it to come tomorrow?

If its special delivery, with saturday guaranteed, then it deffo will come...Special Delivery is the only delivery method where they seem to actually care about the packages getting to their destination on time...

Well its special delivery for sure, the embassy say they upgraded it to saturday guaranteed but I dont really trust that as the woman was getting seriously irrate, multiple hang ups. She didn't seem to understand i have a lot riding on this and CANT miss my flight, for the sake of her paying an extra 2.50 or going down the post office a bit earlier....i wasnt too happy with this.

I cant phone up and ask the number as its already been sent out, they wont have it recorded. And it isn't listed on the receipt of anything.

I just have to get guessing, yay

Missing a digit 0-9 between the pairs of letters - if anybody is especially bored, im starting from the right side
 
you could end up getting a similar tracking code to the one for your package, and it could have roughly the same depot journy to make. there is a chance you could guess the wrong one.

if any I would guess the 0/9 but good luck cause your gonna need it mofolofogus
 
I don't quite understand, if this package doesn't arrive tomorrow, you will be screwed? What help at all does having the tracking number to watch if it arrives electronically or not help you. You'll know if it physcially arrives before anything electronic will inform you.
