Last year, he purchased a PC from a competitor (big mistake). It came with Radeon Xpress 200 series graphics, to put it simply, they suck big time. He is after a graphics card, but he only has a very small budget (£50). Add to that we aint sure what graphics slot he has.

Any help much appreciated!

No competitors please - Zefan.

Pretty useless post, given no info what slot his motherboard has, and as for budget it'll only be slightly better than his existing card (unless he buys second hand)

I had a comp not to long ago which had Ati Radeon 200 Series intergrated graphics and the slot on that board was a pci-xpress. Only real way would be to open it up if possible and if it is from the company i think it maybe from then it is probably wrote on the mobo.

Really depends not got much scope as again i predict it probably only has a 250w psu but i am just guessing bud. There is a psu calc knocking about you can use. When i had one with that intergrated chip i went to a Ati Radeon X800 128mb that ran fine obviously you won't be able to run top end games but its not to bad. They are definetly under £50 as well plus think the 2600 series are also about £50ish if you search around but again comes down to psu. See what others recommend a lot more qualified people on here than me.

Sorry for the long post.:D

right ... your best off taking off the side panel and take a good picture of your case . inparticular the lower half of the mobo and the psu. if possible.

if in the off chance he has access to a pcie x16 slot then i would recommend trying to pick up a 7600gt second hand somewhere
