My friend has just taken delivery of his Delorian DMC12. It's been fully restored by the top specialist in the UK and has tons of new parts which are now pretty rare.
Total cost of the car + restoration was over £30k but jees, what a head turner.

Pics are courtesy of another friend of mine.

It's amazing how small it is.
It's not had it's cat bypass yet so is a bit down on power. Should be much better once it's done. Although, it's never going to be fast.

Still, heard they were pretty much a horrible car?

Sure, they aren't fast and they don't handle but that's not the point.
He wanted to own a piece of history. He will be driving it regularly too. He's not the kind of guy who buys a car for it to sit in a garage.

Is that a tear in the bottom left side of the dash lining ???

Pretty unique & if it's what he wants then Good Luck to the man.

A lot of money for what is essentially a rubbish, horrible looking car immortalized by a movie trilogy.

Still, each to their own :)

1. find a railway station packed of people
2. find the nearest crossing, drive there, jack the car up
3. take tyres off
4. drive onto rails
5. drive past station, maybe wear a 80's american baseball jacket, red in colour
6. hope no actual train comes along, use train timetable for 'tips'
7. profit (or die, depending on how 6 goes)

:p

Exactly... I don't understand how some people don't seem to be impressed by how awesome this is. Probably because they haven't seen one in the flesh, I saw one in Nevada once and it looked amazing, nothing horrible looking about it at all.
