Hey Guys,

My friend has a printer that he has received and he's using it for his office work. He just installed it and it worked for a while and then the connection drops and resets. He has a citrix account as it's a office computer and when he logs in for doing business and want's to print something from within the citrix account. He tells me that the printer device resets and he has to reinstall the software again. Now I took a look at it today and I really had no idea what to do. I tried to do some google searches to see what the problem is and I didn't find anything. I checked to see if the printer comes up in device manager and it does. My friend said that he's got another friend who has the same printer and uses it with his citrix account through another company that he works for and the printer doesn't have any problems. Now my friend further said that this may not be a problem that can be fixed by us. Only by a software technician that manages his company's citrix system. My friend also said that his friend believes the problem is something to do with the settings in the google and IE browser. But I don't think so. Unless their a citrix plugin for mozilla that you need installed.

Can any of you offer any help, is this easily able to be fixed. The problem is my friend has spoken to the technician for his company and he's not quite sure what the problem could be. So I thought I would help my friend out and ask here as you guys are really technically minded and let me add brilliantly talented people.

Any help much appreciated

Many thanks in advance

so, people who are paid to support the bloody thing cant do anything, so you thought you would ask here?

The printer will possibly need installing on the print server, his local account, if it's a fat client (pc) will maybe allow the USB install but his cirix account priveledges shouldn't be high enough to do a full local install. He would need a local admin account to do that.
