I have had 2 g27s fail on me, both being the power adapter.
I ordered one online and it came today but the specs of the adapter/power brick where different from the description.
Heres the specs of the ordered one.
input 100-240v ~ 1.9A
output 24v 2.5A.

Silly question really, if the previous adapters output is 1.75A, would using a output of 2.5A do any harm? i was "assured" that the adapter i got would fit and power a g27. Off course, it fits and would power it! but would it power on for a lengthy period of time without blowing the g27 up?

I saying to myself no....but i would like to make sure before i purchase another one.

Thanks
Marc

If its the same voltage then it is ok to use.

The more ampage a psu can supply the better it is. The best example i can think of is Radio controlled car batteries. Same voltage, but with higher rated batteries, the run time is greater.

Your G27 will be fine.
