My gaming spec

Are you using windows XP? If so it really would be worth upgrading to 64 bit vista or windows 7 to get the most out of the GTX 460

The freezer extreme is an extremely poor cooler would perhaps be better with this instead http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=HS-000-TL&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=1395 yes it dosen't come with any fans but i have one and they are excellent coolers for the cost combined with some akasa apach or viper fans in push/pull

and out of preference i would go with a sony optiarc dvd drive i have one and they are excellent http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CD-040-OT&groupid=701&catid=10&subcat=951

Hi there,

If the system is mainly for gaming I suggest you scale back the CPU/mobo/RAM to an i5 or Phenom II X4 and use the money saved for a better GPU (new AMD HD 6000 series cards being released later this week).

As bigjimmy said, do you already have an OS?

You mention you have 1280 res, is that 1280x1024 res, or something else?

Good question i forgot to put that in my post :p

I think a amd build would be better and then you can get a nice monitor so you can play at 1080p :D. And as said before the new 6000 cards are about to be released so its better to wait and see, also some price drops on current 5000 cards should happen :)
