Hey guys,

I haven't bought a component for my PC is about 4 years because of financial constraints. The card that just died was the
Sapphire Radeon HD 7970 [link]. It seems I'm now forced to spend the money at a point time when I'd rather not be buying graphics cards but there we go.

Id preferably want an NVIDIA card as I would like to do CUDA development on my machine. As a bonus It'd be nice if it's 100% Linux friendly but I'm not that fussed.

Whats the most bang for my buck at the moment?
I'm on a budget of ~£400

Cheers everyone

I've just finished reassembling an old (dead) gpu after throwing it in the oven. Seems to be working OK for the time being. Might be worth trying?
I brought my old 7950 back to life using the oven method too. I got about another six months out of it before it died again. I then baked it again and back to life it came.
