I've got one on test and the new heatsinks on the chipset are very warm compare to the Rev 1.0 board.

how much very warm are we talking about compared with rev. 1, as I was trying to get hold of one before i got my rev 1.1

It's enough of a difference for me to feel the need to comment on it. I generally build systems up on a bench to play with the overclocking as it's an awful lot easier to reset the CMOS. If I put the maximum voltage through the Northbridge the the Rev1.0 doesn't get hot. A little warm, maybe, but not hot hot. The Rev1.1 on the same settings crashes without a fan on the Northbridge, it's that hot.

They've obviously saved a bundle on the cooling on the newer Rev., but there was so little difference between the old DS4 and the DQ6, it's a wonder anyone ever bought a DQ6.

**** another motherboard i have to get rid of , that's probably why they have a northbridge fan header on the board, originally I was thinking going for a DFI Blood Iron, saving me a few ££'s.

MR. WJA96 what is the coolest board what you would recommend on a P35 Chipset. Pwwweeeaase help !!

If you can't find a Rev 1.0 DS4, then get a DQ6. They are usually only £10 or so more.

BTW - if anyone from Gigabyte is reading this - that's how you totally destroy the market for an otherwise perfectly good motherboard.;)
