Hey all,

I'm no photographer (though I quite fancy having a go at it), but I got this shot of my girlfriend's sister's totally wired, spring-loaded Jack Russell chasing after a ball in our garden.

He manages some incredible leaps, this one was about 6 feet long and 2 feet (maybe more) high!

I'd like to hear people's comments about the quality of the shot (what could I do better with it?) and comments about the psycho dog in general :)

Camera was a Canon IXUS 40.

The composition is a bit off and it's a shame you don't have more of the image to the right of him. I've sharpened it a bit and adjusted the levels/contrast, i've also cropped it but like I say it's a shame there is more to jump into. This is a very quick go and shows what can be done

I wasn't sure whether to crop the image so close to the dog.

Agree it's a shame there's not more to his right. He was right on the edge of the frame as I captured it (he moves danm fast and I wasn't quick enough). Didn't have time to have another go as I had only nipped home for lunch.

Agree with Paul's comments, that would have been a great shot had he been more to the left of the frame. Still a nice action shot though :)
