Hi everyone,

I've moved to Taiwan and brought my computer with me, but the monitor was too big.

I had a dell U3415W

I loved this monitor, but it would cost too much to ship, and it's too big if I need to move.

So I'm looking to get another monitor.

This time I want 1440p and 144hz but good colours.

I've read about dells S2719DGF or Samsung's LC27JG50QQUXEN

Problem is they are hard to find over here. Most places don't stock dell and model numbers are different for Samsung. Though not a massive issue.

The question I,s are these the best or is there a Taiwanese brand that is just as good like Asus, Acer or gigabyte? Or should I try and find one of those mentioned above?

Then stop smacking it to wall... :p

but good colours.

Then forget garbage called TN/Twisted Nematics.
Unless you like being unsure what the colour actually is, because of no real vertical vieving angle:

IPS/In-Plane Switching, like in if your old monitor, has overall the most stable viewing angles.
VA/Vertical alignment panel has "challenges" in differentiating darkest shades from normal viewing position.

Also for gaming you'll want variable refresh rate tech for display to sync its refresh rate to output frame rate of PC.
And more precisely FreeSync, which is the name all display makers use for AdaptiveSync of VESA.
G-Sync means paying Nvidia tax for being chained to be their slave and they've finally removed that disable AdaptiveSync bit from drivers.
AMD should be bringing completely new GPU architecture maybe next winter and Intel is joining discrete GPU competition next year, so chaining yourself to one GPU maker is senseless.
