Hi all,

I am looking to do a new build based off the NZXT H440 Special Edition Case.

I've been looking at AIO Coolers as (even though I have 20+ years in IT and building) I don't feel particularly confident in building a custom loop.

I instantly liked the Thermaltake Water 3.0 Ultimate but no one seems to have it in stock, I then noticed the Fractal S36, I figured if I'm moving to a larger case I might as well make use of the space and go for a 360mm rad.

Here's where my head is spinning, what fans do I use and do I use push or pull or push/pull? I know I'd like as high static pressure as possible with the quietest fans, but just don't know which to go for.

I currently have 3 Akasa Apache Black 120mm Fans, do I buy 3 more or do I look at another type/brand etc etc...

If you think I could do any of the above better please let me know, I just want a nice looking case, preferably with green lighting and windowed with decent cooling.

I'm running a 4790K off a Maximus VII Formula board (yes I realise that has red LEDs, looking to mod those if possible) 16 GB of Kingston Beast @ 2400 MHz and a GTX 980 SC and I plan to over clock it all.

Please help :)

That's quite an apt username to thread title ratio going on there.

I really would encourage you to try a custom loop. You've been in IT and computers for close to as long as I've been alive so I'm sure you'll do fine.

If you get a 360mm AIO your 3 Apache fans will be more than enough for it,would be quiet too.

Although i would say a 360mm rad for an AIO is totally unnecessary.

I like what you did there ;)

In all honesty I guess I could do a custom loop, but it's something I've never looked at doing and I guess it freaks me out a bit the thought of messing it up.

Thanks for the input, I do like the Apaches they have been nice and quiet so far :)

I know where you're coming from on the 360mm size, but it's literally the same cost as an H110i GT which was the other one I was looking at (until they went out of stock everywhere due to the stock fault) and figured in that case I could have a 360mm front or top mounted so why not if it wasn't costing any different, I realise this could well be failed logic :)
