Hey All,

Yes its that one again, my trusty Hiper 580w Modular PSU which I have owned for nearly 2 years now has developed a rather irrating clicking noise which sounds like its coming from the rear fan. It doesnt do it all the time, just goes through little phases of clicking and then stops and starts again.

Now I have read about all the problems people have had with these PSU's and therefore I am becoming a bit wary if it might blow.

Any ideas, should I RMA it or not?

The only problem is I cant find the reciept for the life of me although I am sure I kept it somewhere, what are the chances of an RMA going through without my OcUK reciept

Also I know a lot of people have done the RMA process, how long did it take and did they refund the postage costs?

Thanks a lot, Sam

You shouldn't need the receipt as they should have your invoice order on file.

I will never buy Hiper again. I had the 2 of the 730w Hiper PSU's. One modular one not and both generated a clicking/grinding noise like the bearings were going after only a month of use.

Now very very happy with the Corsair 620 i have which was reccomended to me on these forums.

I phoned Ocuk today and they were able to e-mail me an invoice straight away, all they needed was my post code.

Top service :D

In the RMA note it says if there is a problem they will fix it and if it cant be fixed they will replace it with a new one.

What are the chances of them trying to fix it as all that is wrong is the fan is clicking.
