My Home Arcade

My modded and repaired Arcade1Up SF2 Legacy Cabinet, not as elaborate as the OP. Still got a few things to do to it. Particular proud of my DIY Tupperware lid Coin box/slots and DIY "picture frame" light up marquee. Runs off a Pi 4 2gb at the moment with a Logitech Z333 2.1 speaker set for some nice bass sounds in Galaxian etc. Got about 300 games on it so far and being really selective in what I add.

Just wow. A Star Wars cab in the corner; I loved that game with the the vector graphics. I keep thinking on an upright cabinet from LibertyGames/Shar-Kade but I'd be looking at 4k to have it fully stacked out.

Well played.

That's incredible! I have a professionally built arcade machine, using the original Jamma cab design, using the same proper materials, but which I've modded with a PC inside. That plays most of the games I want to play, and I have add-on trackball and spinner controls I can use with it.
I also have a first revision Arcade 1Up Star Wars machine (the one without the fake coin door), modded with a replacement GRS flight yoke, which I further modified with low actuation force cherry microswitches.
I keep on thinking about getting a garden office built so I can have a proper little home arcade with a Tron machine, something with a built in trackball and a driving game. My wife would be happy to get the two machines out of the house, so it's a double win.
