Great cheers mate. Are there any major bugs I should know about with FF? Remember somethign previously about a memory leak or maxing out gpu's or something?

I had this happen to me, I was using a paid proxy to access a US site, who knows who is controlling the computer that manages the proxy, i this instance they were tracking users passwords (the proxy). Shortly after using though I got alerts telling me my password has been breaches. iTunes sent me a message, gmail sent me a message (both locked out my accounts and asked me to verify). Hotmail told me jack, my friend (one of the recepients) told me, and I checked my sent box and saw the spam sent out.

Did you resolve this? I'm hoping the actions I took about should sort it. Stupdily my password was one I use for multiple sites (please don't lynch me) so the breach couldv'e come from a lot of places. Probably something I've signed up to using the same combo. Odd though I changed the password after the first time. Changed everything now including secret answer and deauthroised a load of pc's.

IE9 is fine. You've already admitted to using the same password on other sites which was probably the cause if the local machine is clean.

Use a password manager such as KeePass.

Touchwood my silliness was to blame. Cheers for all your help guys.

On a side note can anyone recommend a good email client? Windows Live Mail is okay...... but is there a better free alternative?

I thoguht that was the case. I assume Thunderbird woudl pick it up fine?

Whcih version of outlook you using Mike? Can'yt get on with 2007 so considering thunderbird or getting outlook 2010?

Outlook saves emails, folders etc to a Personal Folders file (eg. outlook.pst) on your computer.

In Outlook File > Data File Management opens the account settings window and the Data Files tab. This shows the File Name & location

In the email account settings 'advanced settings tab' I select "Leave a copy of messages on the server" so that emails are downloaded to Outlook but a copy is left on the server so that I can still access them from another computer using hotmail(webmail)

Leave e-mail messages on your e-mail server
