I had a load of old PC parts left over since I've slowly been building and replacing up my desktop, so I decided to put all the old parts to some good use. This HTPC is essentially just so my parents can get on iPlayer, ITV Player/Demand 5 after I move out, until I move out it means I can stream stuff from my PC and means my dad can show off his photos without the hassle of booting up the NAS Drive.

Unfortunately the motherboard I had spare wouldn't fit in the old Dell case I had laying around, so I ordered a Grade B (although nothing was missing, so I guess it was just open box) Cooler Master Elite 360 case. I had 4 spare IDE drives left over ranging from 40GB to 80GB, however, as the IDE/SATA adapter was cheap it only wanted to work with 1 out of 4 drives lol

Parts List
CM Elite 360
Asus IPIBL-LB (out of my old HP PC)
Intel Core 2 Quad Q8200
8GB DDR2 Crucial RAM
WD 40GB Hard Drive (Annoyingly it was an IDE Drive so I had to buy an adapter)
Stock PSU (again out of my old HP PC)

Total cost

£28 for the case
£4 for the IDE to SATA adapter
