So, I've recently built an i5 6600k based computer to be a Jack of all trades machine - media, gaming etc.
Anyway, I've overclocked the i5 to 4.5ghz, its cooled by a Scythe Big Shuriken V2 low profile cooler.
My temps are low 20s idle and it tops out at 52 degrees under stress testing. The PC is behind my TV in the living room, so ambient temps are a little higher than normal.
I am both extremely surprised and happy with these temps, my previous build using a different i5 6600k at 4.4ghz cooled by a Noctua low profile cooler would top out at mid 60s during stress testing.
I was going to go with an AIO water cooler in the future, but I think that would be pointless.
