Bit suspicious when someone offers you an extra £155 on top of what you've asked for, bearing in mind I am only selling a games console. A whopping £120 of that for shipping!? They are not rare and are available everywhere. Why would they offer so much for it? Next step would be to login to paypal and set up to receive funds but I've been warned that what can happen is that, for example, the seller can receive requests for funds to be sent since the person interested in buying the item is 'apparently' owed money by someone else...

I smell something fishy, and I am not referring to the contents of Baldrick's apple crumble.

Anyone experienced this before?

I personally wouldnt do it, if it sounds too good to be true it usually is! paypal funds can be reclaimed or the buyer can say the item never arrived or was heavily damaged etc and get their money back (even more complicated if shipping abroad i woudl think)

Why do we still get three of these threads a day? If it sounds dodgy and involves paypal ebay and forigners it is dodgy so don't bother, it's hardly rocket scinece.

Stuck it in junk almost immediately. First time, I think, that its happened to me. Think I'll stick to local ads in the future. :)

Hey,
I'm new to this and it doesn't hurt to hear others' experiences, that way I can learn more;)

True. But that little button at the top? It lets you do it without making our eyes bleed. Again. ;)

If it seems like a scam, it most probably is.

Especially when it involves those cowboys at Paypal.

Quicker sometimes like this too but you have a valid point. I am looking at this from my point of view / experience. Didn't realize that this has been posted many times before. Shows how often I deviate from the usual sections I browse. :) Then again, not referring to anyone in particular, but if it was me and I had nothing to add, I wouldn't. Just an observation.
