The kfa2 infin8 970 says on the product page that it has Samsung ram guaranteed. Gpu z tells me that my vram is hynix?
What is likely to be going on?
Does the card have hynix or is gpu z wrong?
Thanks

Not an answer, but the Samsung memory shows fine in gpu-z on a strix i have.

I have latest version of gpu z. I guess mine has hynix then, it also has coil wine but i didnt mind that so much as i wear headphones and it isn't extreme whine. Guess i might have to rma.
Thanks for the help

Why are you RMAing?

Because of the RAM or whine noise?

I purchased 2x980 ocuk cards fairly recently and although it was advertised as Samsung RAM I got hynix. Yes I was a bit salty but at least it wasn't elpida and it still performed/overclocked fairly well.

I might not RMA purely because its a pain in the arse, but the card came guaranteed samsung memory and guaranteed no coil whine which made me buy it, instead of another card, considering it doesnt meet these guarantees I might buy something else, or OCuk will probably happily replace it with a model with samsung memory. Obviously hynix is probably capable of similar clocks to samsung, but i would prefer samsung.
Im sure OCuk would also probably be interested since their manufacturer isn't doing what they have asked.
