Hey all

This is still in planning stages at the moment. But i'm going to be replacing the window in my lanboy, with silver mesh.

This is the type of stuff i'm going to be getting.

But i've run into a few problems. I still want to use the original rivet look-alike screws on the lanboy to hold this mesh in place. It's just i think the mesh will be too thin for the rivit to hold against the case side. The mesh is 0.8mm thick. The screws are designed to hold the Lanboy window which is about 0.5cm thick.

Heres a pic of the screw to hold it in place - next to it is a 1p piece for scale

I hope that makes sense.. Basically i'm looking for ways to hold the mesh in place with the normal screws that came with the case, but i think there will be a bit of "give" with the mesh in place.

Little springs, or foam.

They would push the mesh and screws apart, giving the effect you want.

Also if you ever bashed the mesh instead of bending horrible it would give a bit. What I would look into doing, or shortening the screws if you have the ability to. :)

A competitor. :p

Bit of a random one, but try a modeling shop, they are highly likely to sell just what you are after.
