Hi there

Right not long to wait now and as such I think its only fair to say OcUK has more stock of 6970 and 6950 than all our competitors put together, here is evidence of this:-

Thats just 6970's and only 1/3rd of what we have in stock for launch.

For those thinking 6950, well I have nearly 1000pc of those in stock ready for launch as well. :D

Needless to say this is a true *HARD* launch! :D

Not all HIS I hope!

Can you give us an idea of who you have in stock?

Powercolour?
HIS?
Sapphire?
Asus?

HIS is now our number one partner, for three reasons:-

1. Lowest return rate - They package their cards very well and ship with only UPS.
2. Best buy price!
3. Best launch stocks!

We shall also have Sapphire and XFX for launch as well, but both will cost slightly more for the indentical same card just in a different box. :)

Just curious...considering you guys have this many stock this time, are you still gonna price it with the usual £20+ price preimum comparing to competitors that only take pre-orders, or is the price actually gonna be more competitive for the launch this time?

You will be very happy with our pricing.

Of course we can't control competitors who have no stock resorting to desperate tactics trying to win the odd order here and there by selling cheaper.

I've said it before, if you don't have stock in theory you can sell at any price and well never deliver.

We have stock, our pricing will be very good, will no doubt surprise quite a few. :)

are there any real differences between the brands? they'll all be reference design and cooling at this stage right - so will it just be down to warranty (length of and quality) and people's experience with brands in the past?

It's getting more and more likely i'll be up at 5 tomorrow so want to armed with as much info as possible before then...

Also how long does the free forums delivery take compared to other forms of delivery?

They are all identical apart from packaging. HIS, Sapphire and XFX all have 2yr warranty which OcUK warrant. So basically buy the cheapest or the one which has maybe a free game as long as the price is similar. :)

This seems like a fair point - what is this, dominos? Surely you wouldn't take all the cards out of their boxes?

I think after they have survived on a truck from China, then a trip across the world on an airplane, then into UK couriers.

I think after all that they can survive been stacked in a nice warm heated office. :)

No different to them sitting on shelving in our warehouse waiting to be picked. :)

Yes, no problem at all as long as they don't all fall over. If they do, they still might be ok, but I wouldn't want to risk it.

Anyway, thanks for the thread, I shall be checking out your prices first thing.

They can't fall, they are supported by the office partition and my building skills are l33t. :D
