Great collection of photos, I have to say the processing youve done on them in fantastic, the borders really suit and add to the image, the b&w images work really well.

The sky in the 2nd shows strange contrast/banding which i dont like, the Corvette and Liverpool 08 flag photos seem to have had artifical blur added to reduce the DOF, it works but needs doing more accurately so it isnt obvious.

Oh yeah that reminds me. I only half finished the liverpool flag!! Yeah I forgot to clean up around the pole. Thanks for pointing that out. The Corvette has had it done quite extreamly due to how distracting the background was. I'l touch them up a tad more thanks mate :)

You were in Liverpool and you didn't tell me?!? :( Some of them are excellent. Some seem just a bit too over done in Photoshop. The Liverbuilding, for me, doesn't work as I know the clouds have been added in to remove the buildings behind :)
I knew you'd pick up on that! hehehe that was more done just to wait for you to go NO NO NO :D

Yeah I was there on tuesday. my dad had to go get two new passports and asked me If I would come with. If not then I would have no doubt let you know.

Im gonna go back again soon anyway :)

Well I was around the Passport office, (popularish camera store), the entire stretch of the town centre, and of course the liverbuilding and Albert Dock.

I had a 30D, grip, 17 - 40, 100 - 400 with me in my hands so im sure you wouldnt of missed me had we crossed paths.

btw, Where the hell is (Number one for photography) in Liverpool?

They are both competitors dude

Nice shots, though the processing in some isnt quite to my taste

I feel that processing is user preference and its a fine line between applying your own personal style and pleasing your audiences. Thank you for your critic :)

they're all fantastic. Are you a proffesional??
Not really, I do get my money from photography and im aiming towards professional. I am deffo getting there but by many standards not quite. I would say semi/pro with my equipment and attitude to work. I have a small "but growing" list of contacts now.

Love the photo of Mow Cop Castle.... very nice !!!

Thank you. It was photographed using the Hoya R72 IR filter. a lot of people say they dont like the processing on this but they seem to just think its a normal shot. I used a aperture quite wide to focus point on the castle and give the forground some blur. ( Another reason was the stupid exposure times canon DSLRs require for Infra Red)

Awsome work F11. You should post more :D

The sky on No.2 botheres me but it's already been said. I really love the IR ruins one, the first one and the garden one. Good work, you have a talent :)

Yep, The sky has been noted thanks to you and cykey (you cant argue with cykey, Hes probably photographed that building more times than anyone in history! He knows it inside out!)
Thanks for your comments, Again it means a lot to me. Please keep enjoying them.
I have uploaded 5 more now..

Thanks for viewing everyone

 I had no idea either of them were that good for it. Yeah I get to Liverpool via the Birkenhead or Wallesey tunnel, depending on where I'm going.
There not that good but its the best ive got. Im getting a D50 for my IR work coz I am sick of the rubbish output of IR on anything short of a blistering bright day.

Thats it!! The Wallesey tunnel!! That is the one I was thinking of.

Gotta admit I'm also tempted by a cheap Nikon for IR work as they're so nice :)
I was with my mate the other day. in dark conditions. My 17 - 40 L & 30D.

ISO800
F8.
120 seconds

Almost completely black

Had a go with his D50 + Kit lens

ISO200
F16
6 seconds

Perfect exposure

Its just a brilliant IR system the early Nikons. Well worthy of £350 plus abit more for a lens.
