Finally got my q6600 clocked at a stable 3.8ghz.

untitled-2.jpg

Vcore of 1.512 @load.
cpu pll, 1.6
nb, 1.3
fsb term1.34
Ram running at 845mhz, 5-5-5-18, 2.02v

Nice wish I had the cooling for that - despite ultra low idle temps my AC7 doesn't handle load temps on a quad core as well as it does on duals... and I cba removing the motherboard to fit my water cooling.

Cheers Rroff, i tried clockinq this rig with a freezer 7, got to 3.4ghz, and even then i was hitting 77'c. Changed to a TRUE and got 3.6ghz with 1500 rpm fans, changed a few weeks ago to 2000 rpm fans on the cooler, bit noisy at full load, tried a p95 run a few weeks ago and it failed in seconds, a few voltage adjustments and a lapped cooler and cpu helped as well.

very nice indeed;)

highest i can go is in sig, thats using tuniq.

must say im tempted to get the sand paper out!

do you run it like that 24/7? whats the max safe voltage for a Q6600?

enjoy

Anything upto 1.45 should be safe - 1.5 is probably ok. I know of E6600 CPUs that have been run at 1.65v (on watercooling) without any issues so far... but you never know.
