Not the tidiest in the world, but ill hopefully be replacing the psu with a modular unit. Also replacing the stock fans with something more subtle and getting the front panel connectors braided. Couldnt wait so i put it all together to see what the case was like. Very impressed with the build quality, and the tool less design. The amount of space is huge, makes my poor 7300gt vid card look lost.

Yep, on mine i have the 8 pin atx running up the back of the mobo tray connected to an extension. I have the front panel pwr, reset etc cable tied to the top rail and held down on the back of the tray. Also im only using the 2 front panel usb, my speakers are connected to the mobo rear panel, (headphone socket on desk volume control knob) Ill have to get the firewire, esata and audio cables ucked away, also with my psu being non modular, ive had to clamp an awful amount of cables on the floor of the case. All i realy need cable wise are, 2 power sockets, 1 molex connector (for pwm splitter cable), 3 x sata for hdd's and blu ray drive. Then my 2 pcie cables, as im currently using a 7300gt while my gtx 280 is off for rma i dont need any gpu power cables at the minute.

As i had another day off work today, i decided to tidy my cabling up a bit.

Managed to hide a few more cables behind the motherboard tray, and put some below the psu. Hopefully it shouldnt effect air intake to much. Could do with a longer sata cable for my optical drive though

Should be getting a nodular psu soon, will certainly help things a bit. Just unsure which brand to go for. Also, unfortunately the only longer sata cables i have are a vile yellow colour. Pretty happy though that ive cleared up the floor of the case a bit, just my 8 pin pcie down there now, dont need it as my gtx 280 died.

Got round to fitting a modular psu, (Corsair HX850w). Not that keen on the flat modular cables, theyre rather stiff which makes them harder to route. Also fitted a pair of arctic cooling F12 pwm fans on my TRUE, and reverse mounted the hdd's.

Unfortunately with this new psu i cant get the 24 pin atx cable behind the motherboard tray, ends up making the side panel impossible to fit, its a bit thicker than the cable on my old thermaltake toughpower psu. Also ive noticed, with any single slot graphics card i use, it seems to hang down badly at the back, current 8800gt does this, as did a 7300gt i had previously, no such issue though with a double slot gtx 275 i had in it a few weeks ago.

The only cables in the system at the minute that arent braided are the fan cables, pwm adapter cable and the front pwr, hdd led, reset etc. On the corsir psu, the atx 24, 8 pin and 2 pcie cables are braided, the rest are all the flat corsair modular cables. Im gonna replace the stock fans with fractal design 120/140's which thankfully come pre braided.

Just out of interest paradigm, would it be possible to take a door panel from the A71F and fit it to an A70F, on my A70F, the entire front panel simply pulls off to expose the fan filters. Such a nice simple arrangement, on my previous eclipse 62, i had to remove both side panels, and top panel to remove the plastic front fascia.

Btw, are you still looking at installing a watercooled setup in yours, planning the same on mine, hence my attention to cable managing.

Ahh, didnt know about The screws mate, on my A70FB, the entire front panel simply pulls off, internally its the same case as the A71F, ive been looking for a triple panel radiator top panel for my A70FB, but lian li dont currently supply one for this new case (only a double), there are triple panels for older cases which will fit ok for a radiator, however they dont match the front panel connector slot on the new A70F/71. Theese newer case include firewire and esata ports which render the old panels obsolete, unless you cut it yourself.

Fitted an nzxt 24 pin braided extension cable to hide the main psu atx cable. Main cable runs along the floor and up the back of the hdd bays now. Also moved the cable clamp closer to the psu and cable tied the two gpu power connectors together, (not in pic though).

Also stuck in a zalman mfc1 plus fan controller, havent connected it up yet as im waiting on a few braided fan extension cables coming.

Also, my nephew gave me a set of Lian Li vented drive bay covers.

Though im still undecided wether to use theese, or stick with the standard solid ones.

Yep, bit of a pity it wont fit behind, still it looks better than the yellow and red spaghetti from before. Regarding watercooling, still waiting to gather some cash together mate.
