OK, so about 3-4 days ago, I decided enough is enough and deactivated my Facebook, I have no intention of going back on it, fed up to the back teeth of all the **** it causes, and the fact that people moan and moan about it. Thought I would jack it in and be done with it. It feels good, but my life feels somewhat empty now. My internet 'routine' has changed, from Facebook -> OCUK to just OCUK...

Anyone else decided to give up on Facebook?

nope, but then I use it for business as well so I would be stupid too.

However, get rid of OCUK too and get an outside hobby to fill the time? :)

nope, but then I don't get into the silly side of it, its purely a tool for arranging nights out and keeping up with extended family.

I gave up Facebook recently. My internet routine has certainly changed. I don't spend time looking at my wall wishing people dead or wondering "how do I know these clampets". Instead I've taken to trolling the comments section of the Daily Mail website.

Sadly Facebook is such a useful way for me to keep in contact with so many people that I couldn't otherwise contact so easily that I cannot delete it so frivolously.

Despite all the hatemail I get on there from ex-girlfriends and people whom I might possibly have trolled for posting stupid status updates.

No, but then again I don't live on there, posting updates every 5mins.

Seriously, if your life feels empty because you "quit" FB then get a hobby or get some real friends.

Hmm, de-activating facebook would be equivalent to turning off your phone permanently.

I can understand if you're spending to much time just sitting on there looking at other people living their lives, and wanting to cut back a little... but the solution to that is to go and do stuff with your friends, go out, get some hobbies etc, not to isolate yourself more.

have to agree with spoon tbh, if not being on facebook leaves you with nothing to do then you need to take yer hand slap yo self in the face and find a hobby.

I feel like I'm in the minority, because I don't "browse" FB?

Am I the only one that just checks in, checks my wall, sees updates from friends, checks messages etc, and leaves it? Done on the phone that takes, er.. all of 5mins? I dont understand how it takes up so much of people's time? There's only so many of other people's holidays snaps that I can take!

No you aren't alone.

I spend about 30 seconds on there a day, maybe.

Log on
Look to see if I have any messages
Check wall posts up until previous day.
Check whose birthday it is -> post on their wall.
Close FB.

I just block everyone that irritates me so my wall updates are usually from people I want to read.

My facebook gets logged in once every....... Actually I don't remember. I get the emails, even from FB to remind me I have pending requests etc etc. If I deem it important I'll logon for a few minutes. Other than that its just a tool to contact people.

OP, get a hobby, join a gym, do some proper socialising, with actual real women. Its much more enjoyable ;)

no, its a great way to keep in contact with friends, send messages, share pictures etc

just set limited profile to specific people so it doesnt cause crap
