Hi all, just thought i would post up the new bits i have purchased and just installed
Shopping list:
- 2 x OcUK 7900GS 512mb's
- 1 x AMD X2 4200+
- 1 x Coolermaster Wavemaster Case (Black)
- 1 x HP 26" widescreen Monitor (HP LP2465)
All purchased from ocuk apart from the monitor.
My current system was as follows:
AMD 3200+ Winchester @ 2.3ghz
X800XL 256mb
2gb DDR400 (4 x 512mb sticks so have to run in 333mhz)
Hiper Type-R PSU 580Watt
ASUS A8N-SLI
74gb Raptor 10,000rpm
Antec Super LanBoy
Here's a pic of the 2 cards that will be running in sli:
And here's a pic of the monitor that they will be powering:
The current game that i am playing the most of is bf2142 (when it works, thanks EA! lol) and my old system just was not cutting it anymore, especially on the new 24" monitor (which i have been running for a week on the old system) after seeing the OcUK's debranded golden samples 7900GS's i couldn't resist!
Last night i set out to build the system into the new case and installed the new CPU and V.Cards.
I have always had a soft spot for the WaveMaster despite it being 2 years old i think it still looks the business!
