Mentioned it in the poker therad but now it's getting down to the sharp end thought I would make a seperate thread

he is in a WSOP Europe bracelet event which had the likes of Helmuth Ivey etc in it

He is currently comfortable leading , there are 48 left from 582 players

prize money is £582,000 with £133,000 to the winner

he is Paul Pitchford

Off to Vegas with him Friday so he can get the beers in I think

'Happy Birthday

It's a disaster of epic proportions for Andrew Lichtenberger, so much so that Michael Bay could make a film about it.

Dean Sanders motioned us to his table where Lichtenberger had got all in with against Paul Pitchford's . The board came and a monster 100,000+ chip pot went the way of Pitchford.

It's probably not the way Lichtenberger wanted to spend his birthday.'

Unlucky :P

Good luck to your friend - make sure to start being extra nice to him :)

Played poker once around a table with chips. Had a crib sheet and came third out of eight. Very jammy beginners luck, got a Aces high full house on one go.

Ah this is at the Empire? Was gonna go in on Saturday night but in the end decided against it..

Would love to play at a tourny like this - but finding the buy in fee is the hard part! :p

I think there would have been satelites also though, but I'm guessing he bought straight in, or Rotty would have mentioned it.

Guaranteed payout now with the players that are left. There's a couple of players in easy reach of his chip count though. Good luck to him though, more power to him :)
