Used it from day one of converting from ball mice....replaced with same years later & still happy with it...It's a mouse & does it's job. I'm a heavy gamer however & have never used anything other than said mouse (apart from ball mice). So regarding all these other mice people rave on about...razer etc...Am I missing out without knowing it? If this mouse gave up the ghost...I'd probably end up buying another Intellimouse as I know no different & am happy with it....should I move on? Would I notice a difference?? TIA.

But I'm very sheltered & scared to move on....Seriously I know you're right I just don't like change...also people seem to be having to mess about with dpi & sensitivity b4 they're happy with other mice.....Hardly any of that with my trusty old intellimouse...

If I ever take the plunge I'll refind this thread & post my thoughts....tnx for replying Twinkletoes..

well I bought a razer deathadder respawn...(I needed a new mousemat so the inclusion of boogie bug mat made mouse decision easier.). Well it has the same amount of buttons as my old intellimouse...(I know I coulda went for one with more). Handling...a little larger than intellimouse...prefere the intellimouse....scrolling on desktop...definitely smoother than intellimouse....gaming....made no difference whatsoever... so can't understand these people who say a new mouse has improved their gaming.

Shoulda stuck with what I was happy with considering the expense...but you live & learn.

Only other thing is I can't seem to figure out how to assign macros, also when using my intellimouse, some games never recognised side buttons but I could assign buttons to keystrokes to get around it...can't seem to find anything similar with this mouse's software interface..

Do like the side buttons being on the same side tho...felt awkward on the intellimouse.

Intellimouse was thru ps/2. Razer thru USB....polling 500....dpi 1800 or something like that..movement in games about the same as Intellimouse. Oh well....looking to replace my basic azona (don't laugh) keyboard for a steelseries stealth merc soon....hopefully the glowing leds will match. :\

Sometimes things are overrated. But I gave it a shot...& the mouse mat is ok.

the mouse only cost me £10. .

There's always some **** rubbing yer nose in it even further!..(Just kiddin :)

To be fair I've only tested it on battlefield BC2 online so far so not really given it a good run but that above was my first impressions.

Have to say I used to have a couple of pet rats a year ago who both died...I like the way the Razer`s braided cable feels like a rats tail...brings back memories so can't all be bad :)
