Hi guys - a little frustrated over here getting my prints to stick to the plate.

I can load the filament fine.
I can auto-level the bed fine.
I have cleaned the nozzle with the instructions provided (cleaning filament)
I have cleaned the bed with cold mildly soapy water so there's no previous residue.
I have tried using a glue-stick on the bed.

My PLA templates are 200c for the nozzle and 60c for the bed but have tried several permutations - up to 210c on the nozzle.

I'm getting nowhere and end up non-starter prints everytime, even using the templates they sent with it on the SD card...

Do I have a defective machine or am I doing something categoricially wrong...?

cheers
Scotty

Thanks for the replies - I've done the simple paper test after auto-leveling so my Z offset appears to be correct.
I've had some mild luck bringing the bed temp up to 85c, nozzle at 200, but the filament still isn't laying down uniformly.
@bulb66 - it's glass and I have bought the tool kit and chemicals to thoroughly clean it i.e. alcohol after twice using warm soapy water and a scraper.

@bulb66 thank you for your reply - I've thoroughly "factory reset" the bed back to as clean as it was when it first arrived 2 weeks ago.

The bed at 85c then tuned back down to 60 after it's found it's feet seems to have worked. I'm not sure if this is a red-herring or not but I touched a 9v battery onto the plate and weirdly it's sticking nicely now...?

I'm in the middle of a large print and have an additional question...

Would you prefer a new post on the subject of threading (and where would you prefer me to dump pictures)?

Thanks again.

cheers
Scotty

**don't worry about responding to the webbing question - I've just bought a digital hydrometer. (Thought it may have been to do with nozzle temp) but the spider webs are apparently because the humidity is too high in my kitchen...)

Thank you all for your help - this post can be closed.
