Basically I need your help in helping me setup my computer to dispay what I'm seeing on my Desll FPW2006 onto my TV and it connects through the ATI component adapter using the component cables and into the back of the TV.

When I try and set up the TV, all I can see is fuzzyness like the picture if the Mhz is too high or the resolution is too much. The TV displays perfectly when I reboot the computer, i see all the spash screen and bios messages and etc but once it enters windows it goes fuzzy again.

I think its down to finding the perfect resolution and the correct fequency my tv runs at. I've tried forcing it to go from 640 x 320, 800 x 600 and 1080 x 768 and at different freqency. No change.
Its only going to display 480i which i know is the highest my tv goes at.

Any advice would appreciate. Thanks.

What card do you have and what is the model of your tv?

Edit: If your tv only supports 480i all dips on the adaptor should be set to off except for 480i and 16:9.

Seeing as you have bought that adaptor I'll assume you have a non x series card. In which case you have to disconnect the monitor in order to get the TV to display, and it should just be plug and go. It should run at 640x480 @ 30Hz and the adaptor should tell the graphics card this as it turns on (thats what the dips are for).

In the ati control panel options for the tv, can you set the resolution to 720x576 or 720x480, set the dips on that adapter to 480i and 16:9 as this will make it display correctly, also try setting the hz to either 50,60 or 100 (if you know what your tv uses then use that)

Sorry I should have mentioned that I've got a X1950 AGP. I dont know if there is support for this card but when I plug the connectors in and hook it up, the Cat drivers seem to pick it up so its a sign that it works.
