My monitor wont display through DVI

What can i do to display through the DVI connection on my Dell 2001FP monitor. i have a 7800GTX and it has 2 dvi connections, but they dont seem to work. the d-sub connection works using a converter.

do i phave to play with the settings?

I don't know about that monitor but you may have to select which input source you are using, either Dsub or DVI. Normally it is auto-sensing though. Have you tried using a different DVI lead just in case that is the problem?

its working now, but after a while, say if i leave my pc on for about a day without touching it, the signal goes and then it wont come back on. i have to restart my pc everytime

when i turn my monitor off and switch it back on, it says no input signal. what can i do as i have to restart my pc everytime.

Have you tried using a new cable?
