My monitor wont work.....

hi can any1 help me...i have rebuilt my computer and everything is working in order but the only thing is that my monitor says it has no signal going to it. i have tryed a number of things such as changing the screena nd also the cable to the monitor....any suggestions please?

What type of screen, gpu and cable to connect are you using?

Have you tried going into screens menu and making sure it has the correct input selected?

im not sure as i am at work atm. but i have had no problem before and now it wont work all it does is says no signal detected and goes back on stand by again it wont let me change any setting on the monitor becasue of no signal found....mind the monitor is rather old approx 4 years or sumit like tht.

A classic mistake is to forget to plug power into the GFX card if it needs it.

haha yeh but i have the power goin to the graphics card(x2 6pin) and the fan is still going to show that it has power. will it work if i change my grapics card over cos i have a spare older one?

I have had this before, have you tried reseating your GPU, and if you can try another monitor cable (unlikely though), pretty sure it was something simple, hope you find the answer
