My mouse thinks its a mouse

Maybe razers attempt at humor but my diamondback 3g has started squeaking at me!

The left button is the culprit and its driving me insane. Anyone know if its possible to takes these apart to sort it or is it machined together? I can see that its a little plastic pin thats rubbing when the button is pressed but i cant se any way to get to it other than forcing the button off.

Try squirting some WD40 in there, or a drop of 3-in-1 oil. (Oil might be better).

Yup they come apart really easy (if its the same as my copperhead i presume it is) just peel off the biggest "mousefeet" at the back of the mouse then the whole top pulls off, there are plenty of guides on the net although it will void your warranty.

Iv done this a few times to fix my mouse1 button which stopped clicking.

I wouldn't go squirting wd-40 in there as the board is exposed.

WD40 is safe with electronics, although you may not want to gunk up the insides of your mouse.
