My mum has Cholangiocarcinoma! Weeks left to live

My mum went in to hospital for some tests because she was feeling sick... she thought she had a virus but they found Cholangiocarcinoma, a rare cancer of the bile ducks in the liver.... there’s no cure, no surgery and even chemo is not really an option. The cancer is the size of a baked potato.

Shes in a lot of pain... cant walk now, cant eat, barely drinks ( her veins have shrunk so unable to get a needle in to give her a drip)... all in all not looking good. To top it off she has mental health issues so with what strength she has left shes attacking dr's etc and thinking everyone in hospital is out to harm her.

She came to my wedding a few weeks back and everyone noted how well my mum looked... now back from my honeymoon Ive got to prepare for her funeral :(
 
Crikey, that's just madness. So sorry to hear it; hope you cope as best you can, and your mum either makes a miracle recovery or goes as gently as possible.

Thats awful mate, not really sure what to say, can only agree with Evangelion with the hope for a miricle, or that she goes as gently as possible.

Sorry to hear that, sounds like a rotten situation to be in.

Never heard of the condition myself but you having said there is no cure and little that could be done seems like the doctors don't have much choice due to the other health issues.

Hopefully she wont suffer too much.
 
I'm so sorry to hear that. I don't know what to say, but just spend enough time you can with her. My ex's mum had liver cancer also, she passed a few weeks back. So sorry to hear.:(
