My mums after a soundbar

I'm kind of mixed on these but we're going to have a look at a few today, she wants it to replace her TVs sound. Ideally it could take Sky and a DVD via optical.

I've seen them go for £90-£150 which would be well within her budget. Again I'm not massively sure on them, what about if she got a receiver and two speakers instead? I've got a Denon DM39 (it's broke and needs replacing sadly) and two Wharferdale 9.1 speakers. Would this be better for a TV if she used the optical in?

Get one with HDMI, then it should turn on and off with the TV and be controlled by the TV remote for volume etc. My parents have a Panasonic one and it works really well.

The Samsung HW-K450 is a great soundbar for the money, few sellers on eBay have them for £160. Got 9/10 on AVForums. I'd say with her budget, the Samsung soundbar is best bet.
