I was Planning on creating a New computer, But before i buy components I like to double check to make sure it will all work, As there may be errors that I miss.

The Specs can be found on ** No Mentioning of Competitors **
Motherboard - Asus Crosshair IV Formula, AMD 890FX
CPU - AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition
RAM - 8GB Corsair XMS3 Classic DDR3 PC3-12800 (1600)
HDD - 2TB Seagate 7200rpm Sata 3 6Gb/s 64mb Cache
GPU - 2GB MSI HD 6950 Twin Frozr III Power Edition (Crossfired at later date)
Disk Drive - LG CH10LS20.AUAR 10x Blu-Ray Reader (plus DVD)
PSU - 850W XFX P1-850S-NLB9 Core Edition
Case - NZXT Phantom

That is pretty much the Basis for it.

-And i would like to ask a few things... Such as I was trying to work out what Wattage i should get for this build and 850w Seemed like an idea (Taking in mind of Crossfire in the future)
so basically will this be enough for the build plus a future Crossfire, Or can/Should I lower this down to say 750w ?

Hi there,

It looks like a decent spec but I strongly suggest you remove the link and competitor name ASAP as it is against OCUK forum rules.

As for the spec, may I ask what you will be using it for?

My first reaction is that you would be better off using an Intel i5 2500K "sandy bridge" CPU and a P67 board, since this setup would be faster for about the same money (have a look at this comparison).

Edit: Beaten :)

I have re-done the spec using the much faster sandybridge gear,

You dont really need the sound card, but I included it anyway to show the cost difference using OCUK prices.

Another thing I would be tempted to do is remove the 2TB harddrive, and replace with a 60Gb SSD and a 1TB harddrive.

Removing the soundcard and using the motherboards IntelHD audio, removing the 2TB Harddrive and replacing it with a really fast SSD and a 1TB Harddrive.

The spec also includes a modular cable PSU instead of the normal one you selected.

And as you asked, you can lower this to 750W.
